The Sunset
The waves rolled, exchanging secrets between themselves
Forever dancing under the clouds
Clouds that swirled in soft pictures of elegance, in various silks and satins and
Stooped down low to shower the mountains with kisses of life
The mountains opened up with a brightness and newness
Re-coloring itself in a fresh green robe
Colors swirled together, merging with that of the dying Sun and
Brightening for a moment
All this was seen from my seat high up
Out of the waves reach
Untouched by the clouds kisses
Above the newly colored mountains and
Beyond the glorious light and majestic wonder that was
The Sunset
(inspired by my view as i left the island of St. Croix: forever my home, forever my love)
